Mijn Spullenboel was born to help you manage your stuff and services, as well as your relations to companies that offer stuff and services. Why? Because in working in CRM for 15 years, advising companies on how to manage data on their customers and all the customer interactions. Seeing how companies grow further and further in professionalizing this interaction. They keep track on what was said, by whom, when, to whom, how much the product was used, when, what you clicked, why etc… It made me feel that this is out of balance. Why shouldn’t consumers have the same grip and control of the interactions and their stuff the way that companies do? As a consumer I don’t want to be managed by CRM, I want to manage my suppliers, my stuff, my finance, my wardrobe, my health, etc. That’s why Spullenboel was born, to bring back the balance and enable consumers to manage their stuff from their side.
Now I’m talking both as an ‘I’ and as a ‘we’. I can understand that’s confusing… I’m new at this :-S. I am alone at this point in time. This is my vision, my site, my idea. But I’m doing this because I believe that fairness regarding stuff and the ability to organise stuff as well as other values of mine that will be integrated into this site, are not just held by me. I believe that these are pretty universal for a lot of people and maybe some day, those other people will find me and join me into making ‘Spullenboel’ a ‘we’-entity. Until that time has come, I will think partially in we and partially in I and I will probably confuse many many people along the way.
