Mireille has a very intuitive way of painting with a connection to other artistic expressions. Mireille paints, like a musician improvises. There is a theme, there is a (pallet of related) mood(s) and a continuous connection to her (imaginative) surroundings, including dreams, fantasies and recent inspirations. And like a song, at some point, the painting is simply done because it longer asks for paint. Mireille uses a very intense color palette and mixes abstract art with figurative. She is often inspired by the wonders of nature, the regenerative powers of life on this planet in all its extraordinary forms and relations.
Mireille has started painting and drawing at a young age and has always combined this artistic work with a study or a job that requires her technical and/or analytical skills as well as coaching, training and mediating skills. Next to her art work Mireille works as a ‘Customer Relations Therapist’ advising companies on how to define, transform and manage the customer relationships they have with their customers. Besides painting Mireille sometimes makes little excursions to photography, writing, small 3D objects or textile. Mireille believes that a big part of creativity lies in the point of view one takes.
